Welcome to the Certified ATLAS.ti Windows Student Trainer Program (CAST)!
Certified ATLAS.ti student trainers are qualified to provide fellow students, faculty and university researchers the basic first-step instruction in ATLAS.ti Windows. First-step instruction includes the basics of document management, setting up a project, conducting coding procedures, and producing outputs. The following are the requirements to join the CAST program:
If you meet these requirements, you are welcome to apply for student trainer certification. The application process includes the following two steps:
1) Online application questionnaire. In this questionnaire, we will ask you questions related to your experience using ATLAS.ti and your knowledge of the fundamentals of the program. If your answers demonstrate that you meet the experience and knowledge requirements listed above, you will be asked to go on to the the second stage of the application process.
2) Report on use of ATLAS.ti in a data analysis project. Those who successfully complete the first step of the application process will be asked to submit a short report following a set of guidelines. The purpose of this report is to show how the applicant used (or is using) ATLAS.ti in a given analysis project, focusing on document organization, data segmentation, coding, analysis, and production of outputs.
Those who complete successfully the two steps of the application process will join a group of students from universities worldwide. Program members will receive a certificate and a button they can place on their websites, a free license, free training and support, will have access to teaching resources, and will join a discussion group with the other certified instructors. Additionally, certified student trainers will qualify to partner with ATLAS.ti GmbH in future training and consultation projects.
Note: This certification program applies to ATLAS.ti 7 Windows exclusively. The student certification program for ATLAS.ti Mac will be implemented in the second semester of 2015.
